My PhD project is entitled ‘Soldiers and Officers´: How discourses of ‘professionalism’ and ‘civility’ transformed the Ghana Armed Forces’. My study aims to understand transformation processes undergone by the Ghana Armed Forces over the years. In addition, the overall objective is to understand how the restructuring of the Ghana Armed Forces in the past has shaped and contributed to the democratic development of the country.
