Window Work: Framing Eldercare in the Age of COVID-19

Associate Professor Kristina Grünenberg, Assistant Professor Line Hillersdal and Postdoc Jonas Winther have contributed to the website Somatosphere with the blog post ‘Window Work: Framing Eldercare in the Age of COVID-19’.

The article, which is part of a series titled ‘The Age of COVID-19’, explores how care workers tinker with screens during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to care for the elderly from a distance. In the blog post, the authors draw from their current fieldwork on the Danish island of Ærø, a place that has branded itself as ‘the digital island’.

The blog post is a prelude to an upcoming article to be published in the Journal of Anthropology and Aging.
