Helle Samuelsen appointed to the board of DIIS

Head of Department Helle Samuelsen has been appointed to the board of the Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS). The appointment has been made by the Council for Development Cooperation (Udviklingspolitisk Råd) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Helle Samuelsen has been member of the council since 2013. The appointment to the board at DIIS is effective from 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2018.

DIIS is an independent research institution for international studies, financed primarily by the Danish state. The institute carries out research and analysis on a wide range of issues within the areas of globalisation, security and development. DIIS participates in national and international debates and academic networks and publish in high-ranking academic journals. At the same time, it continuously assess Denmark's foreign and political situation and informs the Danish media, politicians and the public about its work.

DIIS has approximately 100 employees, comprising both research and support staff.
